Every successful business is the result of individual efforts. Redmonds Inc. is no exception. Operations for this company started with one man with a used truck and tractor. The current status of the company is due to a background built with work ethic specifically directed by David Redmond.
David spent his early years in Bay County but moved with his family to South and then Central Florida for his late elementary and middle school years. First jobs included working at a nursery and learning to drive tractors, pre-dawn mornings at a dairy farm and time around horses and cattle. His fun time in south Florida was learning to SCUBA Dive and baseball but the move to Central Florida he was drawn to Junior Rodeo where he competed in roping and rough stock events.
Back home in Bay County he was drawn back to the water. Divemaster and first mate jobs on a SCUBA Charter Boat for years gave him the time and experience to earn a Coast Guard 100T license. After graduating from Mosley High School in 1989 he began working for an offshore research company as a diver and crew member. This moved him to Houston Texas until coming back to Bay County and working for 8 years as a lead installer for Bell Signs.
In 1997 he started building Redmond’s Inc while also working as a tour boat captain. Eventually he built the business until it required his full-time attention. During this time life was also happening and two sons were born. The oldest, Bryce, is a 2022 Graduate of North Bay Haven Charter Academy and will join the operation full time this year. Number two son, Gavin, is younger and has not yet chosen a path in life.
Hard work, professional service and doing as promised has allowed Redmonds to enjoy a solid reputation both in the industry and in the community. That reputation allows Redmonds to contribute to the local economy, to help Bay County grow and prosper but most importantly this operation is blessed to help nine families prosper by having a consistent rewarding job. Away from work, David spends time with his family and friends. They enjoy traveling, fishing, hunting and four-wheeling.

The boys, Bryce & Gavin, as youngsters loved the noise of the heavy equipment as they roared forward and background in demolition, debris hauling, material handling or grading and sloping on projects throughout the Panhandle.
